Sage extract
Sage is a member of the Lamiaceae family. It is cultivated in various European countries, particularly in Mediterranean regions. Its leaves mainly contain an essential oil made up of thujone and kineole, tannins, including rosmarinic acid, and bitter substances, such as karnosol and carnosic acid. Sage extract is used in personal care products for its protective and styptic properties; it contributes to hair and skin care. Its action is excellent for oily skin and for the scalp.
